Hamels threw the 13th no-hitter in the history of the Phillies on Saturday, July 25. The lefty allowed a pair of walks and struck out 13 in the 5-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

When the Phillies won the world title in 2008, he was the Most Valuable Player in the National League Championship Series and the World Series.
Rodriguez blasted three home runs in an 8-5 win in Minnesota on the same day of Hamel’s effort. The three-time American League MVP and 13-time all-star also knocked in four runs in the contest.
The designated hitter is batting .277 this season with 23 homers and 58 RBI. Rodriguez is fourth on the all-time homer list with 677.
